Overview
An evening at the Giza plateau for the Sound and Light Show, as the Sphinx 'tells' Egypt's story and light plays across the pyramids. Private transfers and ticket included.
By day the Giza plateau is all heat, crowds and camel touts; by night it becomes a stage. We pick you up from your hotel in Cairo or Giza in the evening and drive to the show grounds below the Sphinx, where rows of seats face the pyramids across the sand.
As darkness settles, coloured light sweeps over the Sphinx and the three pyramids while a recorded narration, told in the voice of the Sphinx itself, runs through the story of the pharaohs who built them. It's theatrical and a little old-fashioned, and that is part of its charm. The show itself lasts about an hour.
Bring your camera: the floodlit pyramids against the night sky make photographs you simply can't take in daylight. Afterwards your representative walks you back to the car and you're driven to your hotel, around three hours after pickup.

Evening pickup from your hotel and the drive to the show grounds below the Sphinx. Take your seat as the lights come up over the plateau and the narration begins; the show runs for about an hour. Afterwards you are driven back to your hotel, with the whole outing taking around three hours.
