Overview
A short felucca sail on the Nile in central Cairo, with hotel transfers and a representative: the calmest way to see the city. Shared small-group trip.
In the middle of one of the busiest cities on earth, the Nile is surprisingly peaceful. The felucca, a wooden boat with a single tall sail, has worked this river for centuries, and a short sail is the simplest way to escape the traffic.
We collect you from your hotel and drive to the riverbank, where your felucca is waiting. The captain lets the wind do the work, tacking slowly between the banks while the bridges, towers and green river islands drift past.
If you can, choose the late afternoon, when the light turns golden and the heat fades. The whole trip takes about two hours, including transfers.
