Overview

This tour gives you Cairo from two angles. We pick you up from your hotel and start on the river, boarding a traditional felucca for a quiet sail while the captain tacks between the banks.
Back on dry land, it is a short drive to Gezira Island and Cairo Tower, the lattice-clad tower that has looked over the city since 1961. The lift takes you up to the observation deck, where the whole city opens out: the river you have just sailed, its bridges, the Citadel and, on a clear day, the pyramids on the horizon.
Take your time with the view and the photographs before the drive back. The whole tour takes about four hours.
