Overview
Luxor from Aswan without the rush: Karnak and Luxor Temple, a night in a 4-star hotel, then the Valley of the Kings and Hatshepsut's temple before heading back to Aswan.
A day trip from Aswan to Luxor is possible, but splitting it with a night in between is far more relaxed. We collect you from your hotel in Aswan in the late morning and drive north for around three and a half hours with your Egyptologist guide, arriving in Luxor in time to explore the East Bank.
The afternoon takes in Karnak, with its Hypostyle Hall and sacred lake, and Luxor Temple at the end of the Avenue of Sphinxes, at its best as the evening floodlights come on. You spend the night in a comfortable 4-star hotel in Luxor.
Next morning you cross to the West Bank early for the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon, then drive back to Aswan. The whole trip runs to around 24 hours, with meals during the tour included.

Day 1
Aswan → Luxor East Bank → night in Luxor → West Bank → Aswan
Pickup in Aswan and around three and a half hours' drive north to Luxor. The afternoon and evening are spent at Karnak and Luxor Temple, followed by the night in a 4-star hotel. Next morning brings the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon before the drive back to Aswan, around 24 hours in all.
