Overview
A shared boat day from Hurghada with snorkelling at three reef sites, a stop at Giftun Island, lunch on board and soft drinks, plus a fair chance of seeing dolphins.
This is a day for doing very little except swimming, eating and lying in the sun. We collect you from your hotel in Hurghada and drive to the marina, where you board the boat and head out across the turquoise water towards the islands offshore.
The crew stops at three different reef sites over the day, choosing them according to the wind and the current. Masks, snorkels and fins are provided, and below the surface you'll find hard and soft corals, parrotfish, angelfish and darting shoals of small fish. Dolphins are often seen in these waters, though nobody can promise them.
Lunch is served on board, with soft drinks throughout the day, and there's a stop at Giftun Island for time on the sand and in the shallows. The trip lasts about seven hours, and you're back at your hotel in the afternoon.
