A three-hour private outing on Cairo's metro with a tour representative, stepping out to explore neighbourhoods most visitors only see from a car window.
Cairo's metro, the first in Africa, carries millions of people a day beneath one of the busiest cities on earth. This half-day tour swaps the tour bus for the trains: we collect you from your hotel by car, and your tour representative takes you down into the system and shows you how it works, from buying a ticket to finding the right platform.
From there you ride between stations and come up to street level in different neighbourhoods, each with its own rhythm of shops, cafés and everyday errands. It's a private tour just for your party, so the pace and the stops can follow your curiosity.
Carriages can be crowded at rush hour, and some are reserved for women — your representative will explain the etiquette. After about three hours the car meets you again and takes you back to your hotel.

Pickup from your hotel and a short drive to a metro station, where your representative explains tickets and lines. You ride between stations and step out to explore neighbourhoods on foot. The car meets you at the end and drops you back at your hotel, about three hours after pickup.
