Overview
An evening at Giza for the Sound and Light Show, with the story of the pharaohs told in light and narration across the pyramids and the Sphinx, plus return transfers.
Giza feels very different after dark. The coaches have gone, the air has cooled and the three pyramids become dark shapes against the sky. We collect you from your hotel in the early evening and drive out to the plateau, with your guide on hand to sort out tickets and answer questions on the way.
The show is held in an open-air seating area facing the Sphinx. Coloured lights and laser projections play over the Sphinx and the pyramids while a narrated soundtrack tells the story of the kings who built them. Performances run in several languages on different evenings, so we book the one that suits you.
It is a theatrical, slightly old-fashioned production rather than a history lecture, and that is part of its charm. Afterwards we drive you back across the city, with the lights of the Nile along the way, and you're at your hotel about four hours after pickup.
