Overview
A three-hour bike ride on the desert edge of Giza, with the pyramids in view for much of the way and a tour representative riding along with you.
This is Giza at a slower pace and under your own steam. We collect you from your hotel in Cairo or Giza and drive to the starting point, where your tour representative checks that the bikes fit and talks you through the route before you set off.
The ride follows open, sandy tracks and quieter roads, with the pyramids rising on the horizon and changing colour as the light shifts. It's an active outing rather than a race: there are regular stops for water, photos and a breather, and the pace is set by the slowest rider in the group.
About three hours after pickup, transfers included, you're dropped back at your hotel, dusty and pleased with yourself. Early morning and late afternoon are the most comfortable times to ride, especially between May and September.

Day 1
Hotel → Pyramids Valley by bike → Hotel
Pickup from your hotel and a short drive to the starting point, where your representative fits the bikes and explains the route. You ride the desert tracks with the pyramids in view, stopping regularly for water and photos. The car then takes you back to your hotel, about three hours after pickup.
