Overview
Giza, Saqqara and Memphis, the Egyptian Museum and Old Cairo, a flight to Luxor for both banks of the Nile, then a day trip to Alexandria, all with a private guide.
This trip keeps Cairo as your base and reaches out to two very different corners of Egypt. The first full day covers the pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx and the Valley Temple, then the Step Pyramid at Saqqara and the ruins of Memphis, with lunch at a local restaurant along the way.
Next come the Egyptian Museum, the Citadel, the churches of Coptic Cairo and Khan el-Khalili before you fly to Luxor for the night. A full day there takes in the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut's temple and the Colossi of Memnon, then Karnak and Luxor Temple, and a late flight brings you back to Cairo.
The last full day heads north to Alexandria for the Roman theatre, the catacombs of Kom el-Shoqafa, the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and Qaitbay Citadel above the sea. Going inside the Great Pyramid or Tutankhamun's tomb is an optional extra your guide can arrange.
